I take your privacy seriously. This Extension stores only your display preferences locally and reads VIP/Insider points data that LEGO® already shows you. No personal data is collected, stored remotely, or shared with anyone.
This extension is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the LEGO Group. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this extension.
Overview
Insider Total Points Display (“the Extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension is designed with privacy as a core principle and collects no personal data.
The Extension does NOT:
- Collect any personally identifiable information
- Track your browsing history
- Send data to external servers
- Use analytics or tracking tools
- Store cookies
- Share data with third parties
- Sell or monetize user data
The Extension stores the following information locally on your device only:
1. Display Symbol Preference
- What: Your chosen symbol (e.g., ∑, 🏆, ⭐) for displaying total points
- Where: Browser’s local storage (sync storage)
- Purpose: To remember your customization preferences
- Access: Only you and the Extension have access to this data
2. Display Preferences (Future Features)
- What: Settings such as showing/hiding money spent calculations
- Where: Browser’s local storage (sync storage)
- Purpose: To maintain your display preferences across sessions
- Access: Only accessible by you through your browser

The Extension reads the following data from LEGO’s website when you are logged in:
- Your Insider points balance (redeemable and total)
Important:
- This data is only read from LEGO’s existing API responses
- It is never stored by the Extension
- It is never transmitted to any external server
- It is only displayed in your browser while you use the LEGO website
Permissions Explained
The Extension requires the following permissions:
Storage Permission
- Purpose: To save your display symbol preference locally
- Scope: Limited to storing your customization settings
- Data: Only your chosen display symbol and preference settings
Host Permission (LEGO.com)
- Purpose: To read VIP/Insider points data from LEGO’s website
- Scope: Only works on lego.com domains
- Data Access: Only reads publicly available data already shown to you on the website
Browser Sync (Optional)
If you use browser sync features (Chrome Sync, Firefox Sync):
- Your display symbol preference may sync across your devices
- This is handled entirely by your browser, not by the Extension
- You can disable browser sync in your browser settings
Third-Party Services
The Extension does NOT use any third-party services, including:
- Analytics (Google Analytics, etc.)
- Crash reporting
- Advertising networks
- Social media integration
- External APIs (except reading from LEGO’s existing API)
Children’s Privacy
The Extension does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no personal data, COPPA compliance is inherent in our design.
Data Security
Since the Extension:
- Stores only non-sensitive preference data locally
- Transmits no data to external servers
- Collects no personal information
Your data security is maintained by your browser’s built-in security features.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- View your stored preferences: Check browser extension settings
- Modify your preferences: Change settings through the Extension options page
- Delete all data: Uninstall the Extension or clear browser data
